Arusha National Park
Tanzania's Hidden Gem
The Park is situated at the foothills of Mount Meru, one of Afrika's most beautiful volcanoes and the fifth-highest peak on the continent. Often referred to as a "hidden gem," this stunning Park truly lives up to its title. Mount Meru serves as an excellent high-altitude acclimatisation warm-up for those preparing to climb Kilimanjaro.
Despite its size, the Park offers a wealth of attractions. Highlights include the breathtaking landscapes of Mount Meru and the Ash Cone, scenic views of Momella Lakes, lush tropical forest glades, and the Ngurdoto Crater.
The area conveys a remarkable sense of peace and solitude, featuring mountains, valleys, lakes, and green plains. Towering over the landscape, Mount Meru rises to 4,566 metres (14,980 feet) — the second-highest mountain in Tanzania and an unforgettable refuge for acclimatisation before climbing Kilimanjaro.
